What the buyer published
Standards are a key part of the Department for Science, Innovation and
Technology (DSIT)'s approach to securing critical and emerging technologies. To
support secure-by-design technology development and deployment, DSIT has
been supporting the development of standards across a variety of technology
areas in ETSI, including cyber security standards for AI and consumer Internet of
Things. This contract will support DSIT's work to:
- Strengthen cyber security outcomes in technologies vital to cyber power
- Embed UK policy priorities and DSIT Codes of Practice into global
standards
- Maintain UK leadership in technical committees relevant to cyber and AI
security
The work will directly support UK growth, security, and public trust in emerging
technologies by shaping standards that influence global markets and regulatory
approaches.
