  • **** THIS IS A CONTRACT DETAILS NOTICE, NOT A CALL FOR COMPETITION *****

This procurement is being concluded without competition due to an absence of competition for technical reasons, only a particular supplier can supply the goods, services or works required. Brief Description of Requirement

The QC-SOAR project aims to demonstrate optical readout of superconducting multi-qubit systems, using the transducer technology from the company QphoX. The experimental demonstration for this project is taking place at the National Quantum Computing Centre (NQCC), in one of the dilution refrigerators from the Superconducting Circuits team. In line with the projects plan, the NQCC needs to upgrade the cryogenic setup in the dilution refrigerator to include the optical fibers required to perform the experiments. This contract is for the upgrade of the NQCC's dilution refrigerator to include optical fibers to satisfy the requirements for the QC-SOAR project. The optical fibers upgrade will consist of two identical 6 channels, i.e., 6 optical fibers, assemblies mounted on a KF50 port each. The assemblies will include the fibers (SMF28) and the KF50 vacuum feedthroughs to integrate with the dilution refrigerator. The length of the fibers is defined to ease the integration with the system, and will include FC/APC low-insertion-loss connectors in the atmospheric pressure side and Diamond Micro Interface (DMI) connectors in the vacuum side.
