Week to 23 October 2026

From July to September, UK public sector buyers awarded 106 cyber security service contracts; product and licence purchases are not counted. The 94 with a published value come to £97.4M, and two of them make £55.9M of it.
The Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government awarded a contract worth up to £30M and the Ministry of Justice one worth up to £25.9M, each the top of the range the notice gives. The other 92 valued awards average £451K. The ten buyers that spent the most, and the value by type of work, are free on tendercyber.com/research/q3-2026. The Friday Brief shows when each of those contracts ends.
Last Friday's Brief listed 9 open tenders and frameworks. 3 tenders are still open, one of them closing this week; 2 have no published closing date; 4 are frameworks you can join any time.
One of them in full: Hybrid Security Operations Centre (SOC). Buyer: British Film Institute. Type of work: SOC, detection and response. Value: £150K. Closes 2 November 2026.

All cyber work: 32 awards in the last four weeks, worth £5.4M, against 19 in the same weeks last year.
A contract with two types of work counts under each, so the types add up to more than the total.
Every Friday: open cyber tenders, frameworks open to join, and contracts ending soon with the current supplier.
See last Friday's Brief · Founding price £49 a month for your first 12 months, then £79. Founding applications close on Friday 15 January 2027.
