Week to 16 October 2026

108 UK public sector cyber contracts are due to end in March 2027, more than in any other month in the next year. Buyers tend to publish the new tender two to four months before the old contract ends, so the time to talk to these buyers is now.
In the next twelve months, 108 cyber contracts with a known end date finish in March. The next busiest month has 49, and the other months average 37.
57 of them end on 31 March, the last day of the financial year. Buyers set contracts to match their budget year, so many end on the same day.
Buyers tend to publish the new tender two to four months before the old one ends. For a March end, that is between November and January. Before the tender is written, a buyer can still be told what to ask for.
The counts by month are free on tendercyber.com/renewals. Which contracts they are, who holds each one and when it ends are for subscribers in the Friday Brief.

Last Friday's Brief listed 21 open tenders and frameworks. 3 tenders are still open with a closing date, 1 closes this week, 7 have no published closing date, and 6 are frameworks you can join any time.
